Dual In-line Memory Module are memory components implemented with DRAMs of the same densities to provide memory that can be accessed in a system from a standard interface specified by standards-bodies such as JEDEC. Memories could be organized for access by pages, data-bus widths, ranks, and channels.

Capacity

Capacity is used for the amount of data that can be stored by the memory system of a particular implementation. For example, a USB stick could be specified for 32GB and hold 32 Gigabytes of data, and a FLASH drive could be specified for 1TB and hold one Terabyte of data. Note: Density is typically specified in bits and capacity in bytes.

Data Bus Width
